Hari Arsitektur se-Dunia: 1 Oktober

Baru tahu kalo 1 Oktober dijadikan hari Arsitektur se-Dunia. WDA (World Day of Architecture) merupakan inisiatif dari International Union of Architects (UIA). Dan yang saya ketahui Ikatan Arsitek Namibia berencana merayakannya selama 5 hari dengan acara arsitektural. Tema tahun ini adalah ‘Transmitting Zero CO2 Emission Architecture’, berikut petikanya dari situs archinet.co.za

“October 1 is World Day of Architecture (WDA). WDA, is an initiative of the International Union of Architects (UIA) and is acknowledged annually on the first Monday in October.

The theme of this years’ world day of architecture (WDA) which will run concurrently with the United Nations World Habit Day, will be ‘Transmitting Zero CO2 Emission Architecture’

The Namibia institute of Architects (NIA) will be commemorating the day alongside the numerous architectural fraternities globally and invites the Public to an exhibition of unrealised / virtual works undertaken by Namibian architects from 1 October to 5 October at the Franco Namibia Cultural Centre (FNCC). The aim of the exhibition and the event as a whole is to open as many architectural doors as possible for the general public to come in, explore and find out more about architecture.”
